How Women Get Pregnant

I can’t stand obviousness. Things no one should have to point out because shit’s SOOOOO fucking obvious.

The sky is blue, human don’t digest corn well, etc.

Au current — no one should have to point out DJ Trump is an obnoxious blowhard. If you have eyes and ears — it’s a pretty easy tell.

Recently Trump said something about how if/when he’s elected president he’ll make abortion illegal. AND that women will be punished if they seek out abortion procedures.

Thank god I’m a guy, right? Thank god! I am HALF the pregnancy formula, but I don’t have any of the hormonal craziness, none of that embarrassing bladder stuff, and zero chance of being PUNISHED should my partner/co-conspirator and I decide in private what is best for our situation.

That is to say, have we forgotten how women get pregnant?

Men. The answer is men. A man and a woman have sex. If that sex is unprotected (or worse — unprotected AND unwanted) it can result in pregnancy. The gender lottery just happens to place the womb with the woman. We are not sea horses.

Ok, seems like a good enough segue to talk abortion.

Actually, no. That can be upsetting. It can make people uncomfortable.

So let’s talk about statins.

I take a statin. It’s right for me, but it may not be right for you. You might just need fish oil. But someone else might get bloody noses and headaches from fish oil. So fish oil isn’t right for them.

You know what — let’s take a different path.

No wants to go to the dentist. No one wants needles shoved into their gums and a drill set upon their molars. But shit happens — no matter how often you brush or what brand toothpaste you use. And just because I believe in a Waterpik doesn’t mean you have to.

Is this making sense? I don’t want to be too obvious.

But I’ll bottom line it for you anyway.

That women should have to shoulder the stress/discomfort/pain/stigma/burden of physical pregnancy AND take the fall ALONE should said pregnancy not come to term is insanity.

This isn’t a new Trumpland thing. This shit’s been going on a looooong time. And yes, I know Trump made some triple reverse backtrack statements with caveats and blah blah blah, but that’s not my point.

People, seriously. What are we doing here?
