Get Rid of Me

I am a hoarder. It’s a kind of mental illness. I am in danger of dying surrounded by junk I can’t stand to throw out.

A few years ago I subscribed to a service called Stuffbak, as I kept losing stuff I thought essential. I just checked and discovered a new service has replaced Stuffbak. I am at the moment — with great difficulty — cleaning out my pile of pointless junk.

My memory is sliding into dementia. My wife of 52 years is in slightly better shape than I am and volunteers for dementia care. She is determined to keep me alive until I am a happy vegetable. I regard the prospect with horror.

Now it may be time for a service called

Get Rid of Me.
