Well those are valid points.
My perspective was that my brother had a job for a time, reconstructing deleted emails from the Clinton’s hard drives after they left the WH.
So if I had the legal option of using a more protected method of communicating I probably would have too, just like everyone else who does.
Transparency should be assured through law, and if any laws were broken, the “scandal” would not have dragged out for so long, and charges would have been brought. It is a fishing expedition, hoping to find something embarrassing, just like old times.
So advocating for changing those or any other laws, or creating new ones to improve government transparency, is a fine and valid thing, it just doesn’t have any more to do with HC than anyone else.
That’s why I feel it’s petty.
