Norway
Since I was a child, I´m very interested in the Scandinavia countries, because through years these countries (Norway, Sweden and Finland) teach other nations how to invest in education, natural environment and equality economics. By the way, Norway is the healthiest country in the world, its habitants use to have healthy habits like use bicycle instead of cars, eat fresh vegetables and have life without stress.
Now, I have the opportunity to share how beautiful it is. First, we will organize activities in seven days to maximize time.
Day 1
First, I will learn Norwegian, the government encourage all foreigners to learn the language, they have a commitment with cultural life, and it’s easier to understand different cultural activities like movies and nightlife.
Day 2
Then, I will go to Norwegian Music Festival, people from others countries travel to see important bands like Coldplay and Muse. I researched about climate, for these days and I have to pack comfortable clothes but be prepare for cold climate. Oslo, the country capital experience more precipitation and have milder winters.
Day 3
I need to try national food! Everybody recommend me to eat Norwegian Salmon, picked or marinated, the national economy depends on fishing so, its products are amazing, they export the most famous salmon to exclusive restaurants around the world.
Day 4
Winter sports in Norway are very traditional, families often spend hours skating in the snow, so I hope to learn basic moves and practice it. I don’t want to miss out the opportunity to skate in Oslo Valley.
Day 5
I can’t imagine going to Norway and don’t visit different cities, I heard that the architecture is based in wood, so houses are stunning. I will visit University of Oslo, the most represented building.
Day 6
I will spend this day in art museums, the Norwegian art was influenced by Germany. The government encouraged painters to develop their Norwegian identity, especially with landscape painting, that why I’m so excited.
Day 7
Finally, I will go to Svalbard, to see the amazing northern lights, it is natural phenomenon that it’s only possible to see in polar areas. It stems from natural electrically charged particles.
From this unit I learned how to use infinitives to describe places, for me was so difficult to understand the difference between infinitives and gerunds and how to use it. Now, I can use new vocabulary like crime rate, mild climate and harvesting. I’ going to use phases like It’s slightly… And it’s a little bit… (Than) …
