How Not To Pay Your Student Loans

I understand the frustration with college and the resulting debt most people experience. There’s a serious higher education problem in this country. But, protesting the system by staying in IBR for 25 years sounds completely depressing. It requires the government honoring this program in 25 years. It requires making poverty wages, for a long time, to actually get the benefit. It requires a potential partner making poverty wages for a long time. It requires constant haggling with student loan companies to honor their commitment. If any of this is wrong, the $20K debt turns into $40K pretty quick, and you’ll end up paying it or dying before it is paid. It is not an effective way to protest the system.
