Forgotten | a poem
You were once the subject
And was once always in the act.
Was the centre of attention
Something like the main attraction
In the theme park sections.
Never caring about your welfare
As you always got what you wanted.
Now it seems as if you weren’t even there
As nobody seems to even care.
You are just wandering about aimlessly
Trying to get somebody’s sympathy
You are completely forgotten
You are just behind him
In the race for sublimity
Only for all the attention.
It was never about the passions
But more of the craving for intentness.
Now you are just staring at him
With the eyes of envy and hatred
Pacing the floors of jealousy
Feeling all elated
At the thought of hurting him easily
with the plan of greatness
