One is better than two | a poem
Of all familiar places,
You chose to fall for the places with the faces
That were so cunning.
You never saw it coming,
And it stabbed you in the back,
And when you woke up your bones were on the rack.
You realised that I failed you,
Too many strings to pull
Just to get you out of the pool
That you fell in so miserably
And so ridiculously,
After you realised that I never loved you.
It was all a facade,
To hide my dart,
That hit you so hard only years after its release
Which triggered your release from me eternally.
