Hello Joe, Physical Design is a term I coined for the purposes of this article and a kind of philosophy I intend to expand upon moving forward, however the biggest single resource I have come across for VR design in general is probably Ryan Betts article “Practical VR”

I also look to the work of Mike Alger, Robbie Tilton, and of course Colin Northway, whom I have the pleasure of working with currently (the examples in this article are taken from our work together), for inspiration.
