Don’t Be Dumb, Be Diverse
Allison Baum

Well said.

I work out of my house. 5 minutes ago I heard a knock on my door. I looked out the window and saw about 15 kids from the local elementary school running around and away from me. I went to the door and there stood a single girl. She was wearing her head scarf and stood there. I asked, “can I help you?” She explained, in her slight East African accent, that they were handing out flyers that explained events and progress made at her school. I thanked her and she walked away.

In 15 years I would hire that young girl to join our team. She was poised, self confident and a bit brave in standing her ground ready to talk with a stranger while her classmates ran away. She will be powerful one day.
