“Goals are not only absolutely necessary to motivate us. They are essential to really keep us alive.”

Robert H. Schuller

Good morning peeps, meditation done.

Quote of the day:

“Goals are not only absolutely necessary to motivate us. They are essential to really keep us alive.”

Robert H. Schuller

When I left my life, career and business behind in London to go and look after my mum in the Highlands of Scotland in 2011, I then proceeded to endure some of the toughest times and experiences of my life.

I had left my friends, clients, choreographic, training and production career behind in London.

I not only left behind everything and everyone I loved, I left behind the paycheques, support and lifestyle that went with doing what I loved.

I met some great people in Scotland, who have become great friends and will be in my life forever, but I was desperately lonely, struggling to start building a career and business from scratch, whilst having to abandon the parts of my business, choreography and production that had generated the vast proportion of my income for the previous decade to support the lifestyle I was accustomed to.

I used to walk my dog Zeus up the hills in Cromarty everyday, thinking what am I going to do to earn a living, I needed to be in the Highlands to look after my mum, but the work I had spent my whole adult life doing was based in London.

Through a friend I discovered Brian Tracy and Craig Ballantyne who both preached the importance of goal setting and I began writing my life goals everyday not only did this give me the motivation to get up early and write 2,000 words for my book everyday, but I believe it kept me alive through some of the most difficult and disturbing experiences of my life including racial abuse, intimidation and financial hardship, that most of you would not believe, but those that know, truly know.

But what kept me going then when I felt like giving up and it felt like the whole world was against me and it was difficult to walk outside my house or into somewhere without thinking everyone was staring at you, saying horrible things about you and on many occasions I literally thought I was going to get my legs broken or worse was my goals and knowing I had to get up, keep going, never give up, write, meditate, get on my yoga mat, walk my dogs, love who I love and believe in what I believe in and that good will always triumph over evil.

My goals that motivate me, keep me going and keep me alive,
