“Master your time and master your life.”
Alan Lakein

Good morning peeps, meditation done.
Quote for the Day:
“Master your time and master your life.”
Alan Lakein
Today’s quote is by Alan Lakein a well-known author on personal time management, including How to Get Control of Your Time and Your Life, which has sold over 3 million copies.
Lakein is credited for several quotes, including “Time = Life, Therefore, waste your time and waste your life, or master your time and master your life.”
He is credited as the creator of Lakein’s question: “What is the best use of my time right now?”
He has also made management films and training films.
Former U.S. President Bill Clinton started his latest autobiography, My Life, with a reference to the book:
“When I was a young man just out of law school and eager to get on with my life, on a whim I briefly put aside my reading preference for fiction and history and bought one of those how-to books: How to Get Control of Your Time and Your Life, by Alan Lakein.
The book’s main point was the necessity of listing short, medium, and long-term life goals, then categorizing them in order of their importance, with the A group being the most important, the B group next, and the C the last, then listing under each goal specific activities designed to achieve them.
I still have that paperback book, now almost thirty years old. And I’m sure I have that old list somewhere buried in my papers, though I can’t find it. However, I do remember the A list. I wanted to be a good man, have a good marriage and children, have good friends, make a successful political life, and write a great book.”
My online mentor Craig Ballantyne has written a book called The Perfect Day
One of the most valuable lessons that I learned from Craig’s The Perfect Day Formula is to keep a strict schedule. It seems counter-intuitive, but structure creates more freedom in your life.
If you sleep for 8 hours a day that leaves you 16 hours a day to work, eat, relax and have fun with your friends and family.
You need to get up and go to bed at the same time everyday and then you can schedule your day to strive for the perfect day everyday.
List what you want to achieve that day and start with the most important thing.
Schedule how long you are going to spend on each task, when you are going to take breaks, when you are going to eat, when you are going to work out, when you are going to look at emails the same way you schedule meetings and set your alarm throughout the day so you know when to start and finish and know exactly where you are in the day.
When you finish your working day write down a to do list for the next day, once that is done it is time to close your computer, switch off and relax and have fun, before going to bed to be relaxed, ready and refreshed to do it all again the next day.
Use your time wisely, once it’s gone you can never get it back.
Have a marvellous Monday and a wonderful week
Breathe, Believe and Achieve
Be Happy, Healthy and Wise
Keep on Winning, Smiling and Living the Dream
Namaste
