Grumbling and Complaining
Numbers 11: 4- 6
The rabble with them began to crave other food, and again the Israelites started wailing and said, “If only we had meat to eat! We remember the fish we ate in Egypt at no cost—also the cucumbers, melons, leeks, onions and garlic. But now we have lost our appetite; we never see anything but this manna!
The Israelites did not have a food problem, they had a heart problem. Their heart never left Egypt. They were complaining concerning the food God allowed them to have. You see, the Israelites grumbled and complained about what God did for them.
When God delivers us He commands us to go forward and He will guide us. Now when God says move forward you may think what will my future be if I follow You? Before God sets you free, He will prepare you for the next place He has for you. Remember, when you say God I want You more than anything or anyone, the words you speak will be tested. You will have to rely upon God, because you know through your strength you will fail. God will supply His strength for you, but you must follow Him.
God had delivered the Israelites out of bondage and set them free for the land flowing with milk and honey. You can not go with God if you grumble and complain about the way things are. God has a solution for you, but you must allow God to complete His work in you before God will allow you to enter the place He has for you.
The Israelites grumbled and complained every step of the way. They could only remember how good the past was, only they were believing a lie. Egypt was captivatly. They forgot how much they cried to God to deliver them from Egyptian slavery.
God sent Moses to walk the Israelites out of bondage. They were not pleased with Moses, because he was not who they would have chosen.
If you are in captivity and really want to be free, God will walk you through the process of freedom, but God may give you someone you would not have chosen, but will be God’s choice which is always much better than I would choose. God will lead us out of bandage if we are willing to be free, but be prepared for what God has for you. You will never be free from bondage if all you do is grumble and complain. Why you may ask? Because you are not serious, regardless how terrible your situation is, if you continue to hope the rejection and captivity will stop, you would rather be in Egypt because even in captivity there is false hope things will change. Well when God says enough grumbling and complaining, but we are more comfortable in our situation, you will always be in bondage.
God sent us His Son to deliver us from sin, yep that even means stop grumbling and complaining unless you are serious and ready to be free and follow Jesus. You must hear God, and count the cost before you step into faith.
Father I ask YOU to bring forth to each of Your children the opportunity to walk in freedom and forsake grumbling and complaining and exercise faith in Jesus to lead them in what you have for them. Father we repent of grumbling and complaining, and ask YOU to change my heart and I will let go let go because I make a heart decision to follow Jesus.
