Shame and Guilt
Isaiah 54: 17
No weapon forged against you will prevail, and you will refute every tongue that accuses you. This is the heritage of the servants of the Lord , and this is their vindication from me, declares the Lord .
Do you feel guilty for some of the things you did in your past? If you say yes it might be wise to look at Colossians 2: 13–15
And you being dead in your trespasses and the uncircumcision of your flesh, He has made alive together with Him, having forgiven you all trespasses. Having wiped out the handwriting of requirements that was against us, which was contrary to us. And He has taken it out of the way, having nailed it to the cross.
Having disarmed principalities and powers. He made a public spectacle of them, triumphing over them in it.
You see when you confess your sins we can see in 1st John 1: 9,” If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.”
Jesus forgives us and cleanse us from our sins and that means every single sin you committed, Jesus forgave and washed your sins away. That means all your guilt and shame is washed away. Your past is remembered by Satan and your flesh, but Jesus has no record of your sins.
Condemnation, guilt and shame are brought to our minds through our flesh or Satan. The Good News is, Jesus does not have a record of the sins of our past, because He totally forgave us.
To bring our flesh under submission to our spirit we must renew our minds in Christ Jesus. You may ask, how do I renew my mind in Christ Jesus? You renew your mind by speaking the truth that Jesus forgave you of the sins that hinder your Christian walk. You must read God’s Word and ask Jesus to give you strength and courage to overcome these attacks. You see what we are actually doing is replacing the lie with the Truth of God’s Word.
Satan can be removed by rebuking him In Jesus Name. Submit your thoughts and life to Jesus and you will overcome. This is Spirtual warfare. It might take some time for you to come to the place where you replace the negative thoughts about yourself because often after we are saved, we still battle some things we did in our past. We have authority given to us by Jesus to rebuke Satan and his demons and they will leave, but we must speak God’s Word in place of the negative thoughts.
Condemnation, guilt, and shame can torment and harass us, but when we stand on God’s Word we will always overcome.
You are no longer condemned, you are no longer guilty, and you no longer have to live in shame because Jesus has set you free.
You may have been through divorce and the marriage you have now might be in serious trouble, but if you release your marriage to Jesus, trust what He leads you to do. You no longer have to live in shame and Guilt. You may be on the verge of losing your job. You do not have to walk in guilt or shame. Ask Jesus to guide you to the next position He has for you.
Jesus forgave and cancelled all our sins. That means not only has Jesus forgiven you but He has cancelled all your guilt, shame, and condemnation that has hindered and in some instances has stopped you.
It is time to let go of your past and go forward in your freedom.
Father I ask YOU to reveal to Your people they have been freed through Jesus.
In Jesus Name
