OK — so let’s look at your core statement here. You said:

“White people cannot accept reality when it comes to racism or race history.”

…and you’re saying this about 100% of white people?

So you’re saying that solely because of the color of my skin, I’m unable to accept this reality?

There are two problems with that statement:

  1. I do accept it…as do many people I know who happen to have white skin…so you’re factually incorrect there.
  2. Saying that one’s ability to understand some statement dependant only on the kind of pigment in one’s skin is INHERENTLY racist…so your statement is, in itself racist.

I’m not (personally) hurt by this — I know it’s untrue and unwise. But I’m concerned that you, who is clearly so very keen on eliminating racial stereotypes. is only too happy to create new racial stereotypes to pile on to the stinking pile of the damned things that some segments of our planet have amassed over the centuries.

I truly want to see an end to racism. It’s entirely stupid to base so much of our existence on a handful of genes that determine skin color. I’m happy to work towards that end. But honestly, what you did there only made matters worse.

Do you really think that screaming at the top of your lungs that white people are inherently evil is going to help to achieve the harmony you so desire? Hell no! It’s a polarizing statement that can only make matters worse.

When people truly are racist (Mr Trump or certain police officers to pick a couple of recent examples) — we ALL need to stand together decry what they are doing. You need people who happen to have an entire range of skin tones to speak out against this kind of thing — and that’s only going to happen if all of those people can respect each other. That respect has to go both ways — or it’s just another round of race warfare.

When a white person is clearly on your side (which I truly am) — then embrace that and encourage more to join. If you think there is something they don’t fully understand — then explain it, clearly and without anger. If you push away the very people who want to see an end to this mess — then you’ll never get what you want.

I want to be on your side — but if you won’t let me, what good will come of that?
