Dear OKCupid,
Your “test” obviously wasn’t designed very well. My proof? I am now exchanging messages with a very nice woman who started out “only” as a visitor to my profile.
She admits in her profile that she is “very shy”. This is why she did not click on the “like” button after seeing me.
She wanted me to make the first “like” move. And — because I *could* see she had visited me — I was able to make that move.
So… your “test” FAILED to account for shy people!
How dumb is that!
But all will be forgiven… when you admit your mistake (Hey, you’re only human)… and restore the “visitors” feature.
I am sure that a LOT of your shy members will appreciate you doing this. Because if they knew you were now expecting every member to be as proactive as I am they would NEVER have joined.
Mistakes happen. The important thing is to learn from them!
What say you, OKCupid team?
