Hmmm, well, I’m not particularly partial to fight song, and I’m also not a big fan of Hilary Clinton, and I certainly would never classify this as a case study in top line lyrics, but you know what…? It’s a song that resonates with some folks. It’s a song that inspires certain folks that have been through some shit in their lives, and if it’s a song, shitty or not, that keeps them moving in the right direction, or motivates them, or maybe gets them out of bed for another round of chemo, then good on them. It’ll certainly leave its legacy on pop culture in some form, unlike a cynical blog post from someone who clearly wasn’t creative enough to come up with something useful to write about.
