If voting for Trump means you’re okay with racism and bigotry, then anti-colonialism means you’re okay with Idi Amin, Jean-Bedel Bokassa and Robert Mugabe, and all the other corrupt regimes in former colonies. We even had apologists for Amin saying nobody in the West had any right to criticize him. And opposing the Vietnam War means you’re okay with Pol Pot. Because Communist governments had an unbroken track record of purging their opponents, and everyone knew it. I don’t think anyone anticipated the lunacy of the Khmer Rouge, but some kind of purge was a foregone conclusion, as foreseeable as any racist policies Trump might enact. The movie The Killing Fields even has a scene where a journalist is asked about having responsibility for events in Cambodia. Does voting for Hillary mean you’re okay with the war in Iraq?
