“The question is how many civilians we’re willing to sacrifice to do this”

We? Why is it any harm to civilians from actions against a totalitarian or insane regime are our fault?

I recently read that the food blockade against Germany during World War I resulted in a million civilian deaths. Had nothing at all to do with Germany continuing to fight.

Our embargo of Saddam Hussein was blamed for hundreds of thousands of civilian deaths. Not his refusal to cooperate fully with UN mandates, or better yet, resign. That would be silly.

Maduro is blaming Venezuela’s hardships on external embargoes, and getting away with it. When (not if) North Korea has a famine, that will be our fault, too.
