Yes, Oktoberfest in Munich, Germany is crazy. There are big tents, small tents, and a carnival, and 100,000 people drinking beer out of big steins.

We had time before our reservation, so we walked around the area and looked into some of the tents.

Our reservations were made by our travel group. I’m told that were were in the VIP tent. When we entered, the paparazzi were there at the front door. No matter what I did, they wouldn’t take a photo. ;-) We were in a two floor tent, our table was on the ground floor, separated from the chaos by a short half-wall. On the other side of this wall were people from all over Europe. Some of our party ventured out to make friends.

People singing, drinking and eating. Everyone is having a great time. I didn’t know it at the time, but in addition to the chicken and ham, were were also served some other unique foods items like pigs feet. Those I did not see.

I did drink almost two steins of Oktoberfest beer. It was served cold and went down easy.

Disclosure: Mercedes-Benz of Burlington provided me with a 2017 Mercedes-Benz S550 Cabriolet, hotel accommodations, selected meals, and tours, to experience the Mercedes-Benz European Delivery Program. The car came with a full tank of gas and insurance coverage. I was not asked to write anything about the car in exchange for the opportunity and was not provided any other compensation of any kind. All opinions I express regarding the Mercedes-Benz European Delivery Program are my own.
