I don’t place the blame squarely with CP3. This Clippers roster is such a disappointment when you actually see it try to compete with the Jazz in a real game. A group of ageing minimum-contract players coming off the bench, failing to contribute any meaningful minutes as they simply get outworked by younger legs. I believe the major failure of this team lies with Doc the GM, not CP3, Blake’s injuries or DeAndre’s free-throw adventures.
Doc failed to find and develop any cheap, young, useable talent through the draft in a time when other teams have picked up Jimmy Butler, Draymond Green, Rudy Gobert, Larry Nance Jr and Jae Crowder to name but a few. It is such an avoidable trap and Doc put himself, and the franchise, squarely in it.
