Zolpidem

Zolpidem is a well-known drug for treating sleep-related problems. It helps in falling asleep faster and for a longer period by producinga calming effect on the brain. Zolpidem belongs to a class of drugs named sedative-hypnotics. There is a chemical in our body named GABA whose activity is increased by zolpidem.This chemical is responsible for sleepiness and after taking zolpidem its activity increases which ultimately helps one fall asleep. There are three forms of oral tablets of zolpidem.

These names are made based on the time taken by active ingredients for releasing their effect on the body. Oral sprays of this drug are also available in some countries.
