Stuck Under Water With Time To Kill

It was late one night. My nerves were on edge. I was riding in my car. Windows down. Back roads. I spun out on ice. I ended up in the lake. I was underwater. I was in trouble. It was dark. I was scared. I was lost. I decided that this was it.

I let out a breathe.

The air bubbles floated to the top. I now knew which way was up. I began to swim. I followed the bubbles. I made it to the surface. There was light. I would be ok.

When all seems lost its important to breathe.
