Although Kubo Won’t Let Me Be Invisible episode 10 has four separate little stories like previous ones, the actions that Kubo makes here feel more obviously connected or similar as opposed to past episodes. As such, I plan on tackling this article by focusing on this particular aspect of the episode rather than giving each separate story its own little section.

I could be imagining it, but episode 10 feels to be implying that Kubo is almost getting more desperate to connect with Junta. It’s possible. There are many more scenes after her more frequent interactions with him where Kubo can be seen deep in thought, most likely over what just transpired between them. There’s even a scene at the very end of the episode where Kubo’s older sister catches Kubo reading one of her teenage magazines (possibly as a way to get “boy advice”).

That said, I don’t want to give the wrong impression here. Kubo’s character or demeanor hasn’t changed. Not at all. She’s still lightheartedly aggressive in getting closer to Junta and she doesn’t shy away from telling him exactly what she wants without “beating around the bush” in an innocent way. It’s just the number of times that this episode seems to focus on this particular dynamic that creates this impression.
