Why Raeliana… Ep 6: We Got The Scene, But Now “She’s” Here
We finally just got the scene that I have been waiting for ever since I started watching Why Raeliana Ended Up at the Duke’s Mansion. I wanted romance, and it was clear that it was going to be a long and arduous journey before we got there for obvious reasons. But now that it’s here, the anime is creating the very convincing impression that it won’t be that way for long. And that’s because the original hero and the eponymous duke’s actual lover from the novel that Raeliana got Isekai’d into appears to have just arrived. It definitely looks this way, at least.
Even before this pivotal scene, episode 7 was already perfect. It’s original purpose, and the vast majority of the episode, served as both a continuation of Noah’s portrayal as a sadistic psychopath who enjoys toying with Raeliana too much but also showing a side to Noah that suggests that he might actually care about her despite their contract. This continuation, however, was never on equal standing with the other instances. It escalated everything since it now impacted the entire mansion at which Raeliana, as the title of the series suggested she would, has ended. There’s even a hint of betrayal since the duke’s number-one guard Adam Taylor sides with Raeliana over him (which has yet to be dealt with by the way).
