I came here to disagree…and was pretty dumbstruck that
1. Unlimited vacation time is actually an accountancy trick through which to deny future compensation. It’s smart but cloaked in faux-progressiveness.
2. Employees use holiday/vacation time as a jostling tool to show commitment.
I have always used my full allotment and disregarded peers/competitors.
Thanks for a great article and making me think seriously about something I considered a bit of a gospel to be honest.
