#Lent Verses/Quotes of the Day

Throughout Lent, I’ll be posting daily quotes, mostly from the Bible, to motivate and inspire you through the season of grace, and through our life in this world of which Lent is a type.

Take these verses to prayer, perhaps one by one. Pray about each one individually, and let Him speak to you through them.

I understand that these are gloomy, particularly when seen all together without a corresponding hopeful verse to balance them, but let this Lent crush your false hopes, your illusory wishes, and make space for true hope, which “does not disappoint.” (Rom 5:5)
