I did not see that as a dig to those great scientists, but a philosophical difference. Nothing in my discussion with the Apple people would lead me to believe that they didn’t respect the list of people you mention (and I think Apple would hire any of them in a nanosecond.) At most it was a diss to the rival companies who hired those people, and are not, in Apple’s view, as laser-focuses on products.
