Bungie is set to revamp 20 underused exotic armor pieces in Destiny 2 as part of the upcoming Season of the Wish, aiming to enhance their viability in PvE gameplay. The overhaul extends beyond armor, with plans to update exotic weapons like Vex Mythoclast and Osteo Striga, making them more effective in PvE scenarios. The season will also bring significant updates to various aspects of the game, including the reintroduction of the 3v3 Quickplay node in Crucible with a connection-based priority.

In the latest This Week in Destiny blog post, Bungie outlined its plans to breathe new life into exotic armor across all three classes, introducing more melee-oriented options for players. Notably, the Aeon Cult armor pieces will undergo changes, focusing on the Sects of Force and Vigor mods to make them more viable in PvE endgame. The updated Sect of Force mod, for instance, will provide allies with a significant bonus to weapon damage against powerful combatants. On the other hand, Sect of Vigor will adopt a more defensive approach, offering damage resistance in PvE and class ability benefits.

Specific changes for each class include a reduction in airborne lateral acceleration bonus for St0mp-EE5 leg armor for Hunters, who will now gain more damage resistance while airborne. Warlocks, when using Apotheosis Veil, will experience increased melee and grenade regeneration for eight seconds after their super ends, along with a Tier 3 Cure granted to them and their allies upon casting their super. Titans using Synthoceps will see adjustments to the extended melee lunge distance, surrounded melee damage bonus, and the addition of a 100% melee glaive buff, along with improved weapon handling and reload speed when surrounded.

Other exotic armor pieces undergoing rework include Shards of Galanor, Felwinter’s Helm, and Wormgod Caress. The updates promise to refresh the Destiny 2 sandbox, offering both casual and endgame players new options to explore when Season of the Wish launches next week.
