I had heard the outline of the story decades ago (I am sort of old) but never in this detail. The big lesson here is how important vaccines are. Unfortunately there are lots of well educated rich people who don’t want their children vaccinated thinking wrongfully that vaccines can lead to autism. His research, which had been published in Lancet (one of the top three or four medical journals in the entire world) was presented evidence of the fraud and withdrew it.
