I didn’t know a lot of these guys personally, but my band got to play with many of them. To say they were HUGELY influential is an understatement. Not just musically, but there was always this positive vibe coming from these bands. They’d be 3000 miles from home, sleeping on floors or in the van and yet you just knew they wouldn’t trade it for the world and it was amazingly inspiring. I wonder if they know how much they influenced people outside of their own scene. Thanks SD, Encinitas and all the rad musicians!
