I have been creeped out by war-cry displays of loyalties of all stripes since grade school. I don’t sing anthems or sports songs or communal religious praises anything other of that ilk. But once you tie your argument to White men and their supposed single voice of criticism your argument deflates under your insistence on racialising this debate. There are white men and there are white men, and I suggest there are also black men who were unhappy with his sportsman’s display.
