I used to forward a ton of PDF attachments and images of documents to evernote, but I found it just made evernote really slow (~10k notes, ~3GB of files). This problem is well documented in the user forums

Now I just leave attachments in gmail and search there if I don’t find anything in Evernote (which I leave to mostly text), since gmail search is mapreduced over a gazillion Google servers, while evernote’s search index is stored on my local machine.
