And to answer your question, Communications staff is always following leads on good volunteer stories. In fact, in conjunction with our “Be the Someone” summer PSA campaign, we publish Someone of the Month profiles on the regular. You can check them out on our dedicated Tumblr here: http://bethesomeone.tumblr.com.

When we ask for stories from program staff, we don’t need Shakespeare. We just want enough to pique our interest, and Communications staff can chase the story and follow up as needed. Program staff is busy, as you can imagine, so we don’t want them to feel like they have to send on fully formed narratives. That’s what we marketers are here for.
