The new government in charge is trying to cut the red tape but it ain’t easy. Also a new helicopter manufacturing plant of HAL is being established which at completion of phase one will produce 60 units annually. This does not includes the assembly lines private sector is trying to build. Indian military wants/needs upwards of 1000 new frames of all sorts by 2030. A Himalayan task given that despite the change in government, the infamous Indian “Babus" (bureaucrats) are still pretty much the same.
