You Should Have Left (2020) movie.
What’s there in this movie?.
This is another formulaic horror story that based on haunted house concept,but there is also few good horror scenes.
The best thing of this movie is cinematography and technically stunning visuals and the background score it added more horror stricken to the scenes.
Kevin Bacon,Amanda Seyfried and Avery Tiiu Essex done a justice to their role.the movie revolves in a small circle between them in one house.
Some scenes are really good mainly that house concept like it is from inside wise a wide one and from outside it seems like a small house and a right angle testing scenes added more effect to the movie.
What’s not there in this movie?.
Firstly,though this is a routine haunted house movie,there is no much detailing work for why it is haunted ,they just told like “the devil build a tower to collect the souls and god destroys it.is it okay to watch,just think about it.
In some scenes it goes like a time loop movie,it needs some reasonable point to watch.
There is also some unnecessary scenes like that movie shoot scenes,it is not needed at all to the story,that added some slow pace to the movie.
The movie ends without perfect reason for why hero stayed with that house and why he shouldn’t able to leave with his family.
Some characters just come and go without much importance mainly Lowri Ann Richards role.
There is also many old horror scenes like fast moving of ghost behind the hero and stopping of hero’s face while looking in mirror.
The director David Koepp tried many interesting scenes like time loop,and house length concepts that aroused curiosity about the villain but all are ruined because there is no perfect logic to the story moving.
Star performance:
It fits to Kevin Bacon.
Because of his acting as Theo,but not much impressive to memorable.
Story line:
The story line of this movie is ,it is usual horror story that based on haunted house.
The story starts with hero,his wife and his daughter went to one beautiful house in their vacation time,but they didn’t know about that place,they just booked it on some online bookings.
The people of that town that added more thrill to the hero by saying about the house and why it is haunted but hero don’t wants to listen that,he just came to enjoy the vacation.
After that how hero’s wife and his daughter escaped and why hero stayed with that house and why he shouldn’t able to leave that house this is the story line.
Result/verdict:
Usual formulaic script with not much detailing works to make us believe the story.
