I did more than just remove the app from my phone.

I was watching a documentary the other night and an addiction specialist (the top guy in Portugal) listed a bunch of drugs.. Starting with obvious.

  • Cocaine
  • Heroin
  • Alcohol
  • Tobacco
  • Sugar
  • Facebook

Wait. Facebook?! He isn’t wrong though. Facebook-reality is almost as dangerous as any other drug that warps reality. Or if you believe the lies of social media and start worrying that everyone else’s lives are so much better than yours. I call the game “comparo” from some old sisters that competed a lot and literally coined that term.

Positive comparo can make you motivated, negative means depression, or worse. “Everyone’s lives are perfect and I’m missing out on ..babies/holidays/ whatever” no one shows how often they poop or go to the doctor it’s just your vacation and fake moments. If I still used it next baby pic I saw I would dare to say “where’s the after birth? All babies look the same!”

Using some one motivational apps like habitica and Streaks, and all my tasks are creative ones or fitness and health related .. Much better time spent than social media.

Well I better get to breakfast and healthy Lunch! Brb ticking off stuff :-)
