“A joy in my heart, a world so vast,

Beyond the tales, futures surpassed.

Whispers of wonder, words cannot bind,

A realm of dreams, in space and time”

“We expect virtual worlds to emerge that are: housing trillions of assets and millions of jobs. It is difficult to imagine them existing under the thumb of centralized platforms” — Paradigm, from “The Open Problems of Onchain Games”

At Minters, our mission is to build decentralized, virtual worlds in practice. The challenge, however, isn’t just creating these worlds, but ensuring they remain decentralized, free from the controls of centralized platforms. At first, they come as onchain games. It’s the most realistic way of achieving this giant dream.

Our team carved a niche in crafting onchain games. As one of the only studios in history, we’ve successfully launched a fully onchain game, Rhascau, on the blockchain’s mainnet, attracting 800+ active players.

Metaverse wasn’t the wrong call. Virtual worlds are real. The problem was how it was to be achieved. None of the centralized platforms can support a vast, open world. For such to emerge, a new form of decentralized computer architecture is needed. That’s what our studio specializes in: decentralized computers, and how to use them in practice.

We expect the amount of decentralized computing to grow exponentially. Everything will change and improve. As progress is displayed in state-machines processors, co-processors, and memory, we will start thinking about blockchains as a new form of computers, allowing for the new form of decentralized computing. With the ability to upload the program once, and make it runnable by everybody, always.

We believe that one of the most disruptive applications to ever be built on this technology is going to be a virtual world. A one to be shared by many, just like our physical world we live in everyday. Unlocking this virtual world will cause a massive economical advantage for its inhabitant, and to whoever builds it.

Conceptualizing is just step one. Realizing it is where the magic (and hard work) happens. That’s why at Minters, we take the practical research approach to solving it. Step by step, we develop onchain realities. In 2022 we’ve started with a block-bound points system for DroEats NFTs on Arbitrum. Later on, we have introduced Hodler, an offchain hybrid system, targeted into solving the problem of users proving their credentials over some set of onchain assets. Next, we developed Minter’s NFTs, as our artistic vision of a vast, open world, with a domination of stories to be told and discovered. It wasn’t enough!

Rhascau was our first, fully functional, engaging onchain game. Every interaction you see and experience happens directly on the decentralized computer. Rhascau is permissionless by design, and open to anybody. To date, players performed more than 200k+ transactions while playing.

In our journey with Rhascau, we uncovered something interesting: the potential to craft vast virtual battlefields.

Not just games, but self-sustaining war worlds. Keeping you in front of your desk, while feeling like you were there. Full of onchain interactions, yet feasible within today’s blockchain infrastructure.

Minters studio is venturing on the endeavor to create a fully autonomous, onchain world, for the next generation of internet users. We do not want them to just emerge. We will be the force of emergence.
