How we solve the item quality problem

In the previous article, we discussed the first of the many problems faced by people who shop online: when a buyer receives an item that does not fit the description and ends up disappointed in online shopping in general. Indeed, verifying the quality of custom-made items is a difficult problem to tackle — but Storiqa offers not one but three solutions.

Verification centers

The QA in Storiqa’s name stands for, you guessed it, Quality Assurance. We guarantee that buyers who shop on our platform will receive exactly what they order. How, you may ask? We are going to open several verification centers that will ensure all items about to be shipped to the customers fit their description. Let’s see an example of how it works:

· A small-scale producer specializes on making excellent wooden cooking pots.

· A customer thousands of miles away discovers his work and wants to buy one of the cooking pots. The customer places an order and makes a transaction using a smart contract.

· The producer first ships the cooking pot to the verification center.

· The verification center workers unpack the item, check its quality, make photos and confirm it is it is made of wood and is a cooking pot — in other words, verify that the item shipped fits the description.

· After verification, the wooden pot is shipped to the customer.

· The buyer receives the money for the order only when the package arrives to the destination.

This ensures all items sold fit their description.

Community item profiles on Storiqa

To ensure your personal store has success in the e-commerce field, you need to skillfully advertise each item you’re selling — i.e. take good photos, write compelling descriptions and list everything the customer needs to know. After all, this will be the only information your potential customer will have to make a decision.

Storiqa offers a partnership service to its sellers, where community members will create profiles — i.e. write descriptions and take photos — for the sold items at special centers that will operate on a franchising basis. These community item profiles will be relevant and true to life, since they reflect the actual quality of the items provided.

All items with Storiqa community profiles will be marked as verified, which will act as a seal of quality for the customers to see.

The cherry on top: Video reviews on third-party platforms

Video reviews are good for sellers and buyers alike — sellers get more attention, and buyers can make up their mind before the purchase. However, for a small-scale producer, getting video reviews is next to impossible: it takes an effort to make your own review channel, keep it alive and stay in touch with the people who wish to review your work.

Storiqa offers a unique service for those who want video reviews for their items. Vloggers and reviewers will be offered items for free in return for a review. A blockchain-based referral link system will monitor each order made through the reviewer’s referral link.

All videl reviews will be automatically added to the item’s profile.

This system will work both ways:

· Vloggers and reviewers can choose which Storiqa items they want to review (out of a list of available products).

· In turn, sellers can send review offers to vloggers and reviewers of their choosing.

As a result, buyers will be able to see their future purchase in action and be confident in their quality, sellers will receive good content that promotes their work, and the Storiqa community will keep growing as a result.
