Carrie Cutforth is a creative producer who tells stories across a range of media: interactive, digital, web series, film, live events, text and more. She consults on interactive storytelling and financing, crowdfunding, web series, audience development, and business models for screen content in Canada.
Carrie has a legacy of community building in the web series and transmedia spaces internationally, nationally and locally, with an ongoing commitment to mentoring emerging talent. She has co-founded several community building organizations including Transmedia 101 and the IWCC, and co-produced TO WebFest’s inaugural year in 2014.

At StoryWorld 3.0 in-house rabblerouser Carrie Cutforth will screen a demo reel for the upcoming interactive documentary to jumpstart an informal but lively discussion titled Beyond Niche: Centering Voices from the Margins and Mainstreaming Underserved Audiences.
The demo reel to be screened is for a feature-length documentary that explores the representation of fictional LGBTQ characters on television, and the real world impact that these negative or positive portrayals can have.
