Nice article and I firmly agree that having knowledge of code and markup makes structurally better designs.

Learning semantic markup, ensuring text hierarchy follows h1,h2 etc conventions not only helps screen readers, accessibility , but improves design structure overall.

Understanding layout constraints and responsive design is essential. I enjoy working with developers and have found getting their input early on is the best.

Thanks for the resource links. I’ve also found the website Scrimba brilliant for learning new code.
