The mysterious identity of the Babushka Lady

When President John F. Kennedy was assassinated, chaos fell upon the crowd. People quickly dropped to the ground, holding their heads, while others fled the scene, fearing for their lives. It was a significant moment in history, and a nation was left in shock and grief.

In the aftermath of the attack, police began to search for witnesses who might have captured the attack on camera or who had possibly seen where the fatal shot had come from. They searched for anyone who could help them piece together what had happened.

Unfortunately, their investigation revealed that very few people had seen exactly what happened. Those who had been using cameras were pointing them at the president. After collecting all available footage and examining it, they noticed something strange.

A specific woman seemed to be present in almost all of the assassination photos, her face concealed by a headscarf, or a camera, or her hands. She was quickly dubbed the “Babushka Lady”, the nickname coming from the headscarf she wore.
