I didn’t listen to her speech, but that isn’t because of her profession or choice of attire - that’s the attitude I have a problem with. While I do agree with your assessment that many of the attacks involved her being a model, I don’t think they would’ve been terribly different had she been an attractive woman in another job, nor do I think the same attacks would be levied against a male model, (admitting that that’s partially just my experiences talking).
That being said, the fact that she is a model still doesn’t mean that criticisms of anything other than what she has said are acceptable. None of her work diminishes her right to voice her opinion and have it weighed fairly. Disagree or agree with anyone as your beliefs direct you, but we don’t have the kind of political process where we should be saying “What do you know? You’re just an (enter job here)”. It implies there are some people that due to their profession are incapable of political discussion.
