Care Stream Discord Template: Community Roles & Windows Command Setup
This tutorial will walk you through how to set up a Discord community with pre-made roles that are pinged via !alert in your stream chat.
Need:
- OBS
- Streamer.Bot (!alert config) (pending)
- Discord Account (Sign Up)
- Twitch Account (Sign Up)
- Discord (Download)
Server Setup
- Create a server using the Care Stream Template
- Enable Community in the Server Settings
- Set up Server Onboarding with the following messages:
- 🚨Be pinged by !alert in stream chat: Desc: A care stream alert role for friends, family, and community.
- 🎬: Collaboration with the owner of this channel Desc: Helps livestreamers in long-term care facilities provide engaging and empowering content
- 🔔: Be notified when this streamer goes live. Desc: The advocate live ping role enables a steady stream of companion care for care streamers.
Streamer.Bot alert command config is on the way! You can start collecting potential collaborators, family and friends for the alert and live roles.
My apologies for the half-complete state of this blog. My laptop with most recent configurations went into hibernation recently so I’ve been working from mobile in the meantime. A re-formatting will commence once I get back online.
See our guide on setting up Windows devices with DBIS privacy commands to start safely live-streaming your care.
