The Problem Is You

American culture hates weakness. We hate it in ourselves and in others. We ridicule and kill what we think is weak. Pilgrim mythos. Disgust with perceived weakness is essential to the foundational rhetoric and motivations of the colonizer and the rapist. It supports devotion to the capitalist-approving God of social Calvinists and American exceptionalism. Hatred of weakness is the core of American men’s violence to children, women, LBGTQ people, other forms of life and the rocks of the planet itself.
