Toyota Celebrates Its CPO Sales Victory With Charitable Donations
A known leader in innovation and reliability, Toyota can now add another category to its leadership résumé: CPO sales. As of September 28, 2016, Toyota has sold 5 million Certified Pre-Owned vehicles.
A Sales Victory: 5 Million CPO Toyota Vehicles
With this sale, Toyota has sold more CPO vehicles than any other automaker since certified pre-owned programs made their debut about 20 years ago. Toyota is the first automaker to reach this monumental number, and they celebrated the achievement the way Toyota always will: by celebrating the loyalty of Toyota customers.
In August 2016, the Wenzel family bought a 2013 Toyota Highlander at Toyota of Huntington Beach, California, unaware that they would be barreling Toyota across a 5 million Certified Pre-Owned sales milestone. To recognize and commemorate this CPO sales victory, Toyota thanked its 5 millionth Certified Pre-Owned customers in a big way.
In addition to covering the cost of the Wenzel’s Highlander purchase, Toyota donated $10,000 to a charity of the family’s choosing, Family Promise of Orange County. Toyota also made a separate donation of $5,000 to the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention.
