Future Trends: The Challenge Ahead for America, in the Creative Knowledge Oriented Society of the Future. America is in the global cross hairs of emerging nations as new smart grid infrastructures are being built and knowledge management is being applied to address social, economic, political and environmental opportunities. In order to emerge as the world leader in an organizational based global creative knowledge oriented society, American, as a nation of people, must deal with the current held social conversations, and transformed, the conversations, being held around race, social, political, economic, environmental, spiritual, religious, sexual, gender bias about; differences are deficits.
In order for America to internally heal and live a new reality, the NEW CONVERSATION MUST BEGIN AND CONTINUE, THAT DIFFERENCES AREN’T DEFICITS, THEY ARE JUST DIFFERENCES. THE DYSFUNCTION IS NOT HAVING THE CONVERSATION ABOUT THE DIFFERENCES, IN AMERICA AND ACTION ORIENTED SOLUTIONS, CONTINUING TO HAPPEN, UNTIL WE ARE ABLE TO REALLY LIVE THE MANTRA,”ONE NATION UNDER THE SUN.”
Maybe I am in the wrong part of town, Oops, that’s what makes America great, as I was told, “the freedom of speech, the right to pursuit of life, liberty, happiness, etc., as a rational for not seeing problems as opportunities to remix, learn from mistakes, build new creative approaches, to new creative crisis oriented scenarios.
Maybe the core foundation for Bioinformatics, smart grid computing, sustainable infrastructure, cloud technologies, Near Field Technologies, high end computing quantum interfaces, and smart applications of KM-Knowledge Management, is spurring new creativity oriented systems, before my very eyes. The differential here from yesterday to today, is the closing of the “is-ought to gap.” The “is-ought to gap,” is simple and complex, at the same time. Simple terms, “this is the current position of our country, company, team, social systems, families and individual lifestyles, and over there is where we “ought” to be today.”
The future of America has and always will be in the people who make America the great country it is today. We must move to dismantle institutionalized racism, ineffective educational and outdated collegiate systems, ineffective and outdated corporate practices, ineffective and outdated communities of practices breeding contempt, resentment, despair, jealousy and envy. America is being challenged, to become a productive member, of the new knowledge based economies in a social virtualized world, interacting and proactively participating, to facilitate and transform ineffective processes, outcomes and impacts of outdated regimes.
The question to be asked, can we do more of the same thing, here and abroad, and expect different results. I was told being insanity, is doing the same thing over, and over again, and expecting different results, and being crazy, knowing the end results will be the same, and doing it anyway. We must ask ourselves as a nation transitioning to a new creative class knowledge economy of scales, are we doing the same thing and knowing the end results will be the same? Only time will tell.
Can we say to the world leaders, point blank, “If we America is not the problem then there is no solution,” at the end of the day. Can we afford not to deal collectively in the new knowledge based economy, albeit without irrational behaviors, which consequently, is a very large part of the human make up? At the end of the day, I do believe Americans construct an effective social economic and environmental road-map, to address outdated community policing, ineffective national law enforcement strategies, built and designed for an old school economy.
Continuous improvement is needed, and internal reworking of the systems LEA, appears to be a clarion call, where disruptive knowledge innovations are a must, current day reality and future imperative. The “is-ought gap,” in America can be closed and improves upon, and must be improved on continuously, as a social improvement process. Only and Only when We as American people live the mantra, “All of Us Together Are Far Greater Than Anyone of Us Alone, is the key. Although everyone knows America will always be in every country’s cross hairs, however; we as American people are the ones who will shield us from, being fired on.
Maybe I am dreaming of a dream deferred, or a raising in the sun, that can’t dry up, or maybe, just maybe, “The Challenge Ahead for America, in the Creative Knowledge Oriented Society of the Future, has already been answered, and I personally missed the call.
Only time will tell, if the hunters missed the target; appearing in the creative knowledge based global scope, and no game was taken home to appease the hungry rebels, and the hungry spirits of the hunters, haven’t been fed. The future is now and now is the future. Future trends, are happening as you read this. What do you see in your cross hairs, as an American for this great and noble, land of milk and honey.
We can paint and hang all the pretty pictures we want of a rosy social economic recovery; however, the social, economic, arts, and cultural institutions, must begin to “institutionalize innovations,” and develop non-dysfunctional organizational cultures, of America for the 21st century. “The truth is in the social economic pudding. The culture of denial, blaming, rationalies, and lying can’t hold up any longer, in the face of the viral world where hitting the “send” button, is the shot fired to destroy the very fabric of global systems.”
We must change, and the opportunities are presented daily for change to happen. It will not happen overnight, but, it must happen. I am confident, we are to not miss the cross hairs of the hunter’s scope and step into the unsuspecting trap, planted in the bush.
