While I admire many qualities about Sanders, I find it off-putting to read this idea that he isn’t in it for himself to any degree.

What on Earth would possess someone to run for President if they didn’t have some iota of ego? I don’t buy it.

As to him not saying I: of course not! He doesn’t need to say I. He knows that he’ll catch more flies with honey than with vinegar, and so he does, and so it goes. Clinton has fought her whole life to be seen as a full person with her own ideas; Sanders has had that handed to him and is very safe and comfortable using ‘we’ and leaving credit-taking ambiguous.
