Perimeter Track is aluminum or plastic material used in stretch ceilings. Another component is lightweight sheet known as “membrane” which can be designed and painted with beautiful colors to get best results. Harpoon is also used along with them to keep the ceiling in place. When installing a stretch ceiling, semi-concealed plastic/aluminum track, the preferred choice for most architects and designers, is cut to size and fixed to the perimeter of the ceiling area. The membrane is stretched and the harpoon or catch edge is clipped into the track. Stretching is done by heating the membrane or sheet before fitting.
