The Dodgers were founded in Brooklyn, New York as the Brooklyn Greys in 1883. The team changed its name numerous times before sticking with the name Dodgers in 1913. They played in Brooklyn from 1883 to 1957 when they moved to Los Angeles. The Dodgers play at Dodger Stadium in Los Angeles. The Dodgers are managed by Dave Roberts and play in the National League West Division with the Diamondbacks, Giants, Padres, and Rockies. The Dodgers have won 21 division titles (1974, 1977, 1978, 1981, 1983, 1985, 1988, 1995, 2004, 2008, 2009, 2013–2020, 2022, and 2023), 3 Wild Cards (1996, 2006, 2021), and have won 24 NL Pennants. They have won the World Series 7 times in 1955, 1959, 1963, 1965, 1981, 1988, and 2020. The 12 retired numbers of the team include 1, 2, 4, 14, 19, 20, 24, 32, 34, 39, 42, and 53. The Dodgers have had 13 no-hitters throughout the history of the franchise. The Dodgers wear 4 different jerseys including one City Connect jersey. They wear 2 grey, 1 white, and 1 blue jersey. Their primary colors are blue, white, and red.

Current stars of the team include Mookie Betts, Freddie Freeman, Shohei Ohtani, and Yoshinobu Yamamoto. Dodgers greats include Sandy Koufax, Jackie Robinson, Clayton Kershaw, and Duke Snider. The Dodgers best regular season record was in 2022 when they went 112–51 and their worst regular season record was in 1992 when they finished 63–99.

The Dodgers have played at Dodger Stadium since the 1962 season. It seats 56,000 which is the most in all of baseball and has consistently finished first in attendance in each of the past 10 seasons. From the upper level, the stadium gives a view of Chavez Ravine. During spring training, the Dodgers train at Camelback Ranch in Glendale, AZ.
