February is a short month running fast. Just as this pro forma winter slowly flows into blooming spring so comes the right time for vacation planning. Plan for the best, prepare for expected and enjoy the unexpected.

VV Newsletter 2015~1–2

What I miss this month is a vast storm, the one that blows a fuse and leaves you in a kitchen by a candlelight not knowing what to do without electricity and wifi. Air is still and stale from dry season and deserves a scatter. Deep breath filling you with oxygen, visibility so good that you notice chimneys you have never seen before and sky so blue a polarization filter would envy. Not that these sentences are related to what’s coming next, but I needed to write it down.

Funny

The pedestrian crossing everyone knows has a live web-cam stream. Now you can enjoy ministry of silly walks demonstration 24/7.

Pun can be translated to Slovak as either a word toy or a word play. It can also be visual which makes it even funnier, at least for me. Let me know how many you did understand.

Useful

You can learn almost anything. If you have ever wondered what is offered as an online course, then this comprehensive list might give you the answer. From foreign languages through chess, guitar, photography and ending with coding and cooking. The last can be shortened as coking.

One more learning portal to highlight. Instinct is a page that listens to you playing a real guitar and it listens carefully. Each tone is evaluated and rated making sure you hit the right note. There are video tutorials and tips for complete beginners. I can only recommend.

Important

Not everyone likes the cold. For example rhinos, hippos and all summer people. There are also food types you don’t need to refrigerate. For example garlic or watermelon.

Inspiring

A winter may be striking, chilling, killing or Russian. The last one includes all attributes. There is a village in Siberia, Oymyakon, that has an average temp of -50 Celsius degrees. Get your scarf and mittens on a and make your way in to the snow.

Romania is the country. Either for mountains, bookstores or cafes. Speaking of bookstores, this one that looks like a chateau entry hall is worth mentioning and definitely a visit. It’s in Bucharest.

This newsletter is focusing on quality and thus this is the closing. I hope you still remember the opening and swallowed the article as a whole. May you spend the upcoming months in health and prosperity!

As usual I shall append few songs, nothing thematic this time just new tunes I discovered.
